No plan to act in movies: Urvashi

RANCHI: Urvashi Dholakia, more known as Kamolika of Kasauti Zindagi Ki, is a television artist who has carved a special place in the hearts of audience despite playing a negative role.
The audience better recognises Urvashi by her name in the serial than the name in her real life.
Her style of twisting her nose, followed by the background sound Nikka, is known to everyone.Following are excerpts from an interview with her:
You have been playing a negative role and people have started to recognise you more as Kamolika than Urvashi. Do you think you face the threat of being restricted to negative roles?
No, I don''t see any such threat. An actress is a person who can come out with the performance required of her. If need be, she could cry; if need be, she could make people cry. If need arises she can even make people laugh. If I have proved myself in the capacity expected from me, the work is done.
How much is the character of Kamolika real in life?
Definitely, I would not let go a person if he does something wrong to me. Otherwise, there is no bearing of the role in my real life.
Do you plan to take up positive roles in future?
I would love to act in a positive role if I get an opportunity to. As of now, I am not taking up any new assignment as I am tied 28 days in a month. I would like to add that I am completely satisfied with the way my career is progressing.
Do you have any plans to act in movies or join politics?
No, I have no such plans as of now. Basically, I am not interested in any of them.
